But there are also several other correlated factors contributing to the reason access to land is considered important, ranging from food security to environmental concerns, since people who have a piece of their own land are not only better equipped to meet their household nutritional needs, but are also likely to utilise more sustainable agricultural practices if they have ownership of the land they cultivate.
